October 26, 2004 LAND USE PLAN COMMITTEE 6:30 P.M.
Committee members present: Lloyd Frye, Mike Weinkauf, Dennis Crombie, Chris Denman, Dean Stapleton, Chuck Haubrich, Bob Willard, and Pat Hurley. Chris Johnson was absent.
In lieu of calling the meeting to order, Lloyd Frye, chairman, informed those present he will be resigning from his position because of personal conflicts he felt with telling property owners how to use their land. He was also upset with the behavior of some community members whom he perceived to have made personal attacks; calling him “stupid”, etc., for the simple reason that he asked questions. He indicated regret that he let the Town Board down, but sees too many discussions getting personal rather than talking about the bigger picture.
He indicated he will attend the next Town Board meeting to make his resignation official. Several committee members thanked Lloyd for his service on the committee.
In the absence of an appointed chairperson, the committee chose to adjourn until such time as the Town Chairman appoints someone to the position.
