August 4, 2003                                               PLANNING COMMISSION                                   6:30 p.m.

 

Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. with Ken Dahlstrom, Bob Willard, and Jane Babik present.  Brian Wanasek was absent.

 

Ken moved, 2nd by Jane to approve minutes of the June 2, 2003, meeting with the following item taken out: 

 

Jane read minutes from the December 2002 meeting when this issue was last discussed.  The layout was conceptually approved and Pat was instructed to move forward with her land division.  Concerns were expressed at that meeting that drainage be taken into consideration when drawing up the final layout.

 

Motion carried

 

Preliminary discussion on State Hwy 36 and Hwy 20 neighborhood plan.

Julie Anderson sent the Town of Rochester clerk two maps that were to be looked at by the Plan Commission to determine where they would like residential and commercial development in the triangle area.  The Plan Commission looked at the maps and came up with the following recommendations:

 

In the Triangle area they would like to see a business park/light commercial or retail area.  They would prefer to have the area not predominantly residential.

 

Comment was made by Jane that no utilities are offered and asked where the water would come from.  It is also unknown what John Kojis wants to do with his land that consists in the triangle area.

 

Jane moved, 2nd by Bob to adjourn at 8:00 p.m.  Motion carried.
